Technological progress is required to meet the increasing demand for wireless capacity. The event brought together researchers and developers, as well as regulators and policy makers to discuss their 5G vision.

Topics of discussion included potential disruptive technologies enabling 5G, spectrum policies For 5G, future business models as well as the latest findings in key research activities on 5G.

Kari Leppänen, who leads the 5G radio network technologies team at Huawei in Stockholm and Helsinki, gave a keynote speech.

David Soldani and Riccardo Guerzoni from the Huawei European Research Centre in Munich participated in a panel on SDN-Based Architecture and Procedures for 5G Networks.

Merouane Debbah (Mathematical and Algorithmic Sciences Lab, Huawei France R&D, Paris, France) participated in a panel on In-Network Caching and Content Placement in Cooperative Small Cell Networks.
