Hot on the heels of last year’s successful Huawei Media Day event in Stockholm, Sweden, Huawei hosted its European Innovation Days in Milan, Italy, on 10 et 11 June 2014.
The event provided local and international media with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Huawei, with a key focus on its presence in Europe, by engaging in an in-depth dialogue with executives, customers and partners.
Huawei shone a spotlight on its contribution to the European economy and demonstrated why its presence and investments are part of a win-win relationship.
Renato Lombardi, Vice-President of Huawei European Research Centre, gave a keynote speech on Huawei's Innovation Strategy in Europe.
He also gave a tour of Huawei’s microwave research centre in Milan to participants.
Huawei’s Microwave Competence Centre in Milan, which was inaugurated in 2011, is Huawei’s first global competence centre outside the Chinese headquarters, covering not only the global research and development activities in this field, but also service, marketing and sales support.
