Brussels, 31 March 2021
Huawei published its 2020 Annual Report today, with the company’s business performance largely in line with that forecast.
Sales revenue was up 3.8 per cent on the year before, reaching CNY 891 billion, while net profit rose by 3.2% year on year to CNY 64.6 billion.
Huawei's carrier business continued to ensure the stable operations of more than 1,500 networks in over 170 countries and regions in 2020, helping support telework, online learning and online shopping throughout the COVID-19 lockdowns.
The company also drove over 3 000 5G innovation projects in 20-plus industries, such as coal mining, steel production, ports and manufacturing.
"Over the past year, we've held strong in the face of adversity," commented Ken Hu, Huawei's Rotating Chairman. "We've kept innovating to create value for our customers, to help fight the pandemic and support both economic recovery and social progress around the world.”
"We will continue to work closely with our customers and partners to support social progress, economic growth, and sustainable development,” Mr Hu added.
